Grace Polk

Grace Polk/ “Joan of Arcadia”
(Becky Wahlstrom)

Oooo, the angst-ridden teenage girl. And I’m not talking “drama;” I’m talking anger. Actually, I think Grace is just misunderstood, mostly because she doesn’t fit the stereotypical teenage girl mold. She’s loud, opinionated, likes to mouth-off and doesn’t wear dresses. And that’s why she makes a great friend. She’ll keep you in check because she’s a straight-shooter who tells you what you really don’t want to hear, but you know it’s probably for your own good. (Besides, she’s also your little brother’s secret girlfriend.)

But behind that tough exterior, she’s just a sensitive young woman who is just trying to find her way. However, you know if you ever need anyone to kick someone’s ass for you, Grace is the friend you can count on to take care of it for you.

(And don’t think I’m not continuing to curse CBS and that moron Les Moonves for canceling this fantastic show. Clearly, I haven’t gotten over this—after four years. Sue me.)
