Come on, some of you have (had) a friend who is a hot mess. Well, maybe not exactly like Karen, because honestly, I don’t know any real person who is this effing loud, crude, abrasive, acerbic and hilarious (and who can nurse martinis the way she does.) But you know; the “friend” who has no filter and says whatever she thinks—as inappropriate and harsh as it is. The one who not only embarrasses herself (though she doesn’t care) but you, by completely ripping your self-esteem apart, little by little, and who is more than happy to insult you (and anyone else) in front of everyone she can.

Although she was by no means Grace’s best friend, she was a friend nonetheless.

God bless dysfunctional friendships that make some sort of sick sense—and actually work.
